Color Mode Exercise

 Bitmap

Bitmap is the smallest file because there are only two colors needed to create this file. The uncompressed file size of Bitmap was 94.9k which came out to one third of the Red, Green, Blue file image.
 Gray scale

Gray scale was the next smallest file because in the photo only used 256 colors. The uncompressed file size came out to 759.4k and when multiplying it by three will come out to the same image size as the original image.
 Index Color

When choosing 4 - 12 colors to appear in the image I had went with the largest and chose twelve. The file size to my surprise came out to the same as the gray scale image. The uncompressed file size was also 759.4k.
Red Green Blue

In Red Green Blue this image size was the largest and came to 2.22m this is because when in this mode it used 16.7 million colors to create the image to its full affect.

PS: Color Mode : worksheet/quiz

 1) Can you change file format just by changing its name? Discuss.
-No, we can not change th e format, but you can confuse the computer.

2) How many colors are in the following color modes?
              -RGB: 16.7 million
              -INDEX COLORS: 256 or less
              -GREY SCALE: 256
              -BITMAP: 2

3) What happents to the (uncompressed) files size as you change the color modes? Disscuss.
              - When you are going from one color mode to the next the file size will change, for example from RGB to GREY SCALE your file size will shrink due to the fact that you use less colors creating the image.

4)  What happens to the visual quality of images as you reduce the number of colors by changing the color mode?
-It changes the quality of the image and the amount of data the file is using up.

5)What is a good reason to convert PSD files to JPG?
-A good reason is because PSD is for photo shop and JPG is to deliver the photo.

Crayon Rubbings

The goals of this crayon project was to create a flat crayon picture that is viewed as having texture, symbols, words/numbers and overlapping of the three. Depending on whether you planned it or not your crayon rubbing may have told a story.
I learned that when overlapping, some objects will appear darker than others depending on the pressure you apply to the crayon. Some will even be more wholesome with less pressure rather than more pressure. The more risen the object the easier and it will be to view on the paper while on the other hand the more flat the object the more your paper will look like giant color scribblings.
On this crayon rubbing I could have put the darker blue pressure of the crayon more on the outer ring so the fuchsia  color could stand out more in the center.
In this crayon rubbing the main eye catcher of the image is the blue due to the fact that the fuchsia takes over most of the page; such as the three, the man, and the lettering. Although I choose blue as my center color I could have added more color color to the opposite side so the colors were balanced. Maybe adding the rigged blue to the entire background lightly other than dark and to the side.

Introduction
Hello and welcome to Lauryn's Graphics!

I am Lauryn Trujillo you can call me Lola
I plan to major in Graphic Design and use that to become an anthropologist.
Goals for taking this class are to learn new computer skills.
After my two years here at AWC I'm going to continue my education in Flagstaff at NAU.
I was in film photography where we learned to design magazine covers, digital photography where we learned Photoshop skills, and lastly I was the president/head editor of the yearbook my junior and senior years of high school.
In ten years I hope to have a secured job and maybe married.
My favorite vacation spot is from when I was seven years old my whole family (including cousins) of 20 people stayed in a three story glass house, beach front away from everyone, while we were there we went horse riding, surfing, and and sand boarding. We stayed there for the entire summer.
